The ECCCH x ESMAE project is a collaborative initiative led by the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE) and a team of musicology experts, aimed at contributing to the European Cultural Heritage Cloud (ECCCH) through the creation of innovative solutions that will preserve and promote Europe’s rich musical heritage.
This project, developed in response to the ECCCH calls under the Horizon 2024 program, focuses on the digitalization, documentation, and enrichment of Europe’s cultural and musical assets. Our goal is to leverage cutting-edge technologies to ensure that the historical and artistic value of musical works and practices are made accessible to a wider audience, while also contributing to the sustainability of the European cultural heritage sector.
Key objectives of the ECCCH x ESMAE project include
Developing tools for advanced data enrichment and metadata management in the context of musical heritage
Creating solutions for digital preservation and conservation of musical instruments, scores, and other cultural objects.
Collaborating with international institutions to support research and innovation in the field of musicology and heritage studies.
